Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) has been a business imperative at Arthur Cox for many  years. It is central to the culture and ethos of the firm. We recognise the importance of EDI and embrace a variety of views and backgrounds giving rise to greater innovation and creativity. We also recognise the access issues faced by many people from minority and diverse backgrounds. To allow us better reflect the clients we serve and the community we live in, we continue to work on action plans that will ensure that we afford opportunities to people from diverse backgrounds. 
 
Our firm has an active EDI strategy, which is led by two EDI partner sponsors. We have a number of sub-committees made up of colleagues across the firm who support in leading out in our EDI strategy. Further information on our EDI programme can be found on our website here.  
 
The purpose of collecting diversity data from applicants hoping to join the firm is to allow us monitor, analyse and assess our progress in relation to our EDI goals and initiatives. This data will help us understand if action is needed and where our efforts are best focused. Only a limited number of our HR personnel will have access to and collate the data to analyse progress on current EDI initiatives we have in place and to assess what further action is needed and in what area. Your responses will not be made available to interviewers in this or any future application process with Arthur Cox. Your responses to these questions will be anonymous and will be used to create aggregate statistical reports. All responses will be deleted after the creation of the aggregate reports and in any event within 12 months.
